I am Marques Hardin. I manage artists, among them Maurice Mbikayi, Emmanuel Aggrey Tieku, Michael Gah and Ken Kamara, through Artgence, my artist management and advisory practice in Paris.

Artelier Business started with a problem I lived every week. The artist kept one list, I kept another, the gallery kept a third. Every work, price and sale was typed again by each of us, and when the lists disagreed, nobody could say which one was right.

Then eight artworks I believed were stolen came back, because the paperwork showed whose they were and where they had been. Since then I have not seen the record as admin. The record you keep protects your life's work.

The word underneath all of it is transparency: between the artist and the manager, the gallery and the advisor; between a collector and the price of a work; and in where an artist's career really stands.

So Artelier Business runs on written rules, not opinion. The Career Compass gates are written down and versioned. The price calculator shows its working, line by line. Nothing is taken from your sales, and your data leaves with you whenever you want.

Artelier Business is French born, with an American touch. I grew up in Alabama, studied at the United States Air Force Academy and Pepperdine University, and worked in international sales before the art world. The software is made in Paris and runs in English, French and Spanish.
