For photographers who sell their editions

Every print, from the lab to the collector.

Artelier Business is online software for photographers who sell limited editions: it records each size, each numbered print and each sale, from the printer to the collector, from € 9 a month.

Which sizes, which numbers, what is at the printer, what is sold and still to print, what is on its way. Artelier Business keeps your editions print by print, and sends the certificate to the collector when the print arrives.

A card is required and is not charged until day 30. No commission on your sales.

  4. Sold before it is printed? Order print from your lab. When it comes back, it is Ready to send.
  5. Ship, and the buyer’s address is already filled in.
  6. On delivery, the certificate goes to the buyer by e-mail.
  7. Every print, by number, from the lab to the collector. Artelier Business.

Print 3 of 10. Where is it?

  1. The spreadsheet says it sold.
  2. The lab says it is still on the drying rack.
  3. The collector is waiting for a certificate. Artelier Business keeps one answer for every print.
How it works

How does Artelier Business follow an edition?

01

One image, every size.

Each size is its own edition, with its own numbers, its own artist’s proofs and its own price. The sizes stay one work.

+ Add a size · One line per size. Each size is its own edition, with its own numbers and price.

02

Every print has its place.

Switch on Track each print in Settings, and the inventory sorts the prints of an edition by their life: not printed yet, at the printer, ready to sell, sold.

Tap the print below to move it along.

03

Sell first, print after.

A collector buys a size you have not printed yet. The print is sold and waits to be printed. Order it from your printer, with an expected date if you have one, and mark it when it arrives.

Sold, needs printing · Order prints · Prints arrived

04

The next print, taken for you.

Record a sale at a place and the lowest-numbered print ready there is the one sold. Change it if the collector wants a particular number.

Print sold, already printed

05

The certificate reaches the collector.

When the print is delivered, by the carrier’s tracking or when you tap Mark as delivered, the collector receives the certificate by e-mail. Once per sale; Send again is there, and noted.

Certificate sent to marie.c@example.com.

06

Nothing sold is forgotten.

Deliveries lists every print that is sold and not yet with its buyer: still to print, at the printer, ready to send. The shipping assistant files a photograph under its own customs code.

Moving in

Can I bring the editions I already have?

  • Your works from a spreadsheet (CSV). What is unclear is asked before anything is saved.
  • Track each print starts with nothing changed: a print your records say nothing about shows as Not checked until you say where it is.

Questions photographers ask

Does each size count as an artwork?

Yes. Each size is its own record and its own edition, and the sizes of one image stay one work. Solo holds up to 30 artworks; Pro has no limit.

Do I have to track every print?

No. Track each print is off until you switch it on in Settings. Switching it on writes nothing to your works: a print your records say nothing about shows as Not checked.

What about artist’s proofs?

Numbered apart. AP 1, AP 2 follow the numbered prints of their size, and each is tracked like a print.

When does the collector receive the certificate?

On delivery. Delivery is read from the carrier’s tracking, or set when you mark the sale delivered by hand. Never for a test sale, and never twice unless you tap Send again.

Do you take a commission on my sales?

No. A flat fee, by the month or by the year, and nothing on your sales.

Which languages?

English, French and Spanish: the app, its documents and its e-mails.

Know where every print is.

30 days free. A card is required and is not charged until day 30.
